DESCRIPTION: This was a premier Mauser small bore target rifle, used by top German military and civilian shooters. The receiver top is marked with a small "Mauser Banner" logo, with "MAUSER-WERKE A.G.-OBERNDORF A.N."  on the receiver and "PATRONE 22 LONG RIFLE" stamped on the left side of the barrel.
The barrel has the (pre-1935) B, U and G crest factory proofs. Considered a championship rifle with micrometer rear sight, ramp front sight (without hood), full checkered target stock and swivels. Trigger guard with cross-hatching on the bow and large circular Mauser emblem on the original factory stock with original buttplate and grip cap. Rear aperture sight receiver installed behind action — factory original option, no aperature sight.
